Parking in Whitby

Visitors to Whitby can park in any of the pay and display car parks within the town. Please use the following links to find out more about each car park, including charges and payment options:

Free Parking

Abbey Headland, West Cliff and the Pavilion car parks are all free to use during the Festival.

On-Street Parking

Visitors will also find some on-street parking available around the town. Much of the on-street parking in the town centre requires a residents permit or a parking disk and is time limited. If you choose to park in a disk zone please be mindful of local residents and look out for the signage relating to time limits.

Park and Ride

Whitby Park and Ride operates from 6th April – 2nd November so is not available to use during the Lit Fest.
