School Events

Part of our initial plan was to engage with local children and schools. Working with the National Literacy Trust, we have a dedicated festival programme set within two local schools during school time on the Thursday and Friday, 6th and 7th Nov.  Children from other local schools are invited to attend.

Huge thanks go to Simon and his team at East Whitby School, and to Gareth and his team at Whitby School, as well as the National Literacy Trust, and to a NYC Locality grant for helping make our school programme happen.  Maybe we will see some of tomorrow’s authors nurtured through sewing the seeds of interest with these inspirational events.
