Whitby Lit Fest Sessions

The advertised time is the actual start time of the session. Please arrive in plenty of time to find a seat, purchase refreshments and get comfortable before the session begins. Click here for more specific venue information. If the advertised time says 11:00am, the talk will begin at 11:00am.

Most talks will run for around 45 minutes to an hour. We’ve allocated 90 minutes to allow for Q&A and signings, where these are taking place (we will confirm these details nearer the event). Signings at our headline events will likely take longer than 30 minutes, and perhaps up to an hour depending on demand.

There are a few exceptions to this rule:

• Workshops will run for 2 hours
• The Open Mic Night will likely run for longer than an hour
• An evening with poet Harry Gallagher & folk duo Miggins Fiddle will run for longer than an hour

Our venues are no more than a 15 minute walk from one to another, but be aware that Whitby is hilly and some footpaths are narrow. To see their locations please click here.
